Short History of the Great Walk

The Tahsis Lions Club Great Walk began in 1977 when Tahsis Mayor Bill Lore issued a challenge to Gold River’s Mayor, Vic Welsh, saying, “I will walk to Gold River if you walk to Tahsis.” It was the beginning of an annual tradition which over the years raised close to a $1 million for charities by thousands of annual walkers.

Gift Certificates are for local businesses.
